Yup...a few V8 stangs bowed to my stock EVO last night at the track!

Now that's what I'm talking about! How mad were they afterwards when they found out that they lost to a 4 banger!

Well I will say it wasn't pretty. I missed a shift against one of them and STILL won...but it was close. So after the race he was like, "let's go again...i almost had you." So we went again and this time i didn't miss a shift and KILLED him...he didn't stop off afterwards that time to say anything...

I wanna know how mt got 105mph trap speed. That is 2 mph faster than my best run of 13.5. Must have been a ringer. Doesn't matter though cause this car kicks *** anyway you look at it.

Speaking of Rustangs and identity crisis theres worse. I was on a business trip to Cedar Rapids Ia last week. Having a tough time finding any octane higher than 92, I asked one of the owners of the station if anyone sold 93 octane in the area as I really needed the best I could get.

She called back into the service bay(yeah hard to believe a real gas station with a full service bay!) and said to her husband "Hey I have a guy with a modded mustang who needs hi-octane fuel"!!

I did a quick double take look to make sure I was still in my yellow EVO;-)! I was so startled by the comment that all I could do was shake my head. I started to correct her, but then figured the effort would just cause more confusion.

BTW the 93 octane re-flash ran fine on 92....just didn't do any WOT action!

You know what i find funny is how you guys are all saying that these people are dissing on the Evo b4 giving it a chance.. only realizing that it has the name "lancer" in it... yet.. you are all doing the same thing bashing the NSX.. why is it so bad? B/c the numbers say soo?? B/C you're magazine racing?? Or maybe you like bashing it b/c its a 260 N/A car that can whoop some Ferrari's and Lambo's?? Is that why.. go get Best Motoring and you will see why it comes with it's price tag..

Also i wouldn't exactly call the Evo a supercar.. it's one of the best performance cars you can get on the market for under 30k.. no doubt.. but a supercar is more than speed and handeling..

Argh not sure if it was Best Motoring.. here was the finish.. i think that's pretty nice..
F50, 911 GT2, Murcielago, NSX-R, Gemballa 911, 911 C4S.

NSX tied the new Lamborghini and beat the Ferrari 575M (a $230,000 car mind you) by two seconds around a race course... For people also that like numbers...

And the fact that it's an allunimun body and it's hand made.. could make the price tag a little high as well..

Actually I took my neighbor's NSX to the prom in high school a few years ago and wished I had just driven my own mustang because the dang thing was so slow. Just my .02. So dont say I haven't experienced it.

What else is there... the EVO stops better from 60-0 then almost any car on the road, has a unique feel, has the gizmos like an intercooler spray and an AWD powertrain, has the agressive looks. What makes a supercar a supercar, an absurdly high pricetag?

Well acutally.. .. i was talking more about "Exotic" not "supercar"... my bad.. people consider the NSX an Exotic not a Supercar..

If you look at all top of the line cars.. also companies such as Ferrari, Lambo's.. BMW.. w.e.. they encorporate luxery with speed...

(Remeber i'm really not trying to bash on the Evo... it's one of my favorite cars)

But add luxery to the evo.. and watch those 0-60, 1/4, Slalom speed that every1 is so proud of drop like nothing else..

Well i really don't know how you drive and how much handleing matters to you... but the car isn't a 1/4 car.. none of Honda's car's are.. The car is also like the new STi.. if you sit and drive it.. handeling in the Evo is far better.. you have know how to really drive the STi to see why people say the handeling is soo close to each other..

Who are these "people" you are talking about? I do not consider it an exotic -- Motor Trend hasn't considered it an exotic EVER (they NEVER put the NSX in their exotic comparison tests and the NSX guys always write in crying).

YOU may consider it an exotic because it makes you feel better about the amount of money you wasted on that car, but I think you would be hardpressed to find a large group of people (outside of NSX owners) who consider the car an exotic.

Don't get me wrong, I love the NSX. It's beautiful car. There's a supercharged one here in Louisville...drool drool. BUT, when you look at numbers alone, the price doesn't add up.

Actuallly, NO, I do not own a NSX.. and Two i plan on gettin a Evo around January.. so i don't feel i wasted my money on the NSX b/c i do not own one.. NSX is more in line with the Mitsu 3000GT VR-4.. can you please look at my first post which i edited.. Numbers do not do justice to this car..

Mayhem: I know.. 90k is an expensive price tag.. but here's the thing the cars hand built..and made out of pure allunium.. took so much time for research and yada yada... and yes it is increasingly expensive.. imo it should be more around the 75-80k ballpark.. (ALTHO i'd love if it was 20k..hehe)... The fact is that many people don't get this.. Honda doesn't plan to sell the NSX like Mitsu plans to sell the Evo.. NSX is more of a image type car.. the car was desighned to race.. not for people to own on the street and glorify that they own a Honda NSX... It was ment for the track.. the only reason it's sold is for consumers to use it for it's race-ment purpose and to boost the image of Honda.. as a perforamnce company as well as an Economy Company.. They sell about 5-10 NSX every year.. the most they ever sold was last year i belvie where they sold around 18!!!

The car has no flaws.. no problems to deal with.. it's perfect.. The car is geared for only handeling.. not so people can brag about their HP and their 1/4 times..
