Hey guys I'am chlling out in my man cave right now and looking over my new perrin stealth exhaust for my evo 8 and wondering if the CEL fixer goes on this TBE or on the test pipe???

About to order the helix combo off of gruppe-s.com. I know max supplies the CEL fixer w/ the helix test pipe.

Well in an Evo VIII, the rear O2 sensor went in the cat side of the midpipe (part of the catback exhaust), but in an Evo IX the O2 sensor is in the cat itself. You probably have welded bungs in both the test pipe and the midpipe of the new exhaust because sometimes people hook up wideband O2 sensors there. So you can put the O2 sensor in either one (the VIIIs O2 sensor cable is a little shorter so it'll probably have to fit in the midpipe bung), but just do a spark plug anti-fouler spacer to prevent CELs. Make sure you plug the other hole with the bolt the exhaust included. Does that answer your question?

I didn't understand what you meant by TBE or the test pipe. The test pipe is part of the TBE.

 

Thank you guys, yeah I know about the spark plug ainti fouler trick. I was just confused b/c the perrin exhaust has a long *** mid pipe I was thinking "do the CEL fixer go here?"j thanks for answering my questions guys

Tephra v5 now has a built-in rear o2 simulator. Not sure if it works, but its available!

 

take out the CEL bulb =p. just kidding.. it was answered already =)

I did mine and I got the light reset by my buddy who works at Autozone. It went away then came back on, I was like ****.... Then it went away.... Kinda wierd but its gone now.

 

regardless of where the 2nd O2 sensor is, that's the one that is causing all the commotion. I had to do the fix myself, no more light
