twitchy braking in a straight line? go back to the stock alignment. or get it realigned to the stock alignment.

To answer your question, 2 likely culprits...
1 - you hit your brakes which loosened up the rear end and the road is crowned/has ridges so the light rear end followed the pavement.
2 - Your rear toe is set out and upon the suspension decompressing, your body followed the tire.

Either way, get an alignment with 0 toe and test it again (try to test at lower speeds when on a public road).

In the early days at the track I noticed the car was quite twitchy under hard breaking at high speeds. Believe it or not the APR splitter actually helped settle it down a lot. There was a high pucker factor at 120 MPH entering turn1 at Pocono off the staightaway. Much better now.

I would have to agree with what the others are saying and get a good alignment. I dont have any problems at all at that speed (on the track of course).

Im really impressed with my evos high speed stability. Ive taken it to 14.0 and it felt rock solid. Back when i had my Eclipse GT anything above 13.0 was scary, the front would start to lift and the steering would get light.

I know around me a lot of the roads are "crowned" really bad causing the rear to get very squirrely under heaving breaking.

Check your tire pressures just to be safe.

Tires for one.. I just took off my Cooper snows and put on a new set of A046s... holy crap. The snows were so scary at higher speeds.

Another thing, as someone else said, an alignment is some of the best $ you'll spend. A good one, not a 'pepboys' alignment. I got -1.5 camber G -1.0 R and 0 Toe rear and 1/16th toe out front.. made a huge difference..
