Couple of questions about warranties

Hi everyone I am new here. I used to have a e36 m3 which I sold 2yrs ago and bought a 330i. I also sold the 330i cause I missed the speed and handeling of the m3. I'm etiher thinking of getting into another e36 m3 or maybe buying an evo. I have seen a few wrecked evo's for sale and was thinking about buying one. If I could find one for a good deal I would get it fixed at a shop. The question I had about the warranty is if I get a salvaged titled evo and get it fixed at a certified shop will mitsubishi dealers recognize the warranty as valid? Any input or experiences would really help because I have no clue. Sorry if this has been covered before.

Seriously doubt it.

Do a search and read about the Mitsubishi warranty.

I wouldnt spend money on a salvaged car unless you were just planning on racing.

thats a good question i think that you would be able to get the warrenty through the certified shop because they referbished it as far as the dealership i dont think that they would do it because as soon as they see that the car was recked they will say that it is voided cause i had a front end collision in my ix which wasnt to bad but they could tell and told me it wasnt coverd maybe u could get an extended wrnty if u pay but if u decide let me know

06 black Ix
stage 3 exedy clutch
turbo timer

Mitsubishi has tried voiding my warrantee at 8500 miles because my front tires were wearing down int he middle sooner than the outside because of the aggresive factory alignment. They tried blaming it on my driving when if i was tossing this thing around hard the outter edges of my tires would show severe wear.

Cheers!

Seems like they are very strict on the warranty. It's probably not worth getting a salvaged evo since they won't cover it. Also If I bought a used evo from a private seller would it be fully transferable? Thanks for all the input guys.

ask if something voids your warranty and they may void it just for asking

It seems like the warranty is a real pain. You guys must be scared to go in if something happens. Is it like 20 questions?lol "Blood type Please"!?!?

Most people here void their warranty the moment they start modifying the car (which is about 3 months before they actually own the car)
