High mileage Evos....ok to buy?

By higher mileage I mean 70k+. Are there tell tale signs that things are going to go or that normally start to wear at that high or higher mileage? I'm talking things that are more "Evo specific". Examples on other cars being:

-The CAS seal on Miatas like to start leaking.
-The rear main seal on 300zxs like to leak.
-Apex seals on RX-7s start to let go.
-Coil packs on 99-05 Golf/Jetta like to go out.

Obviously in general the same parts wear out on all cars, I was more thinking of Evo specific things or more importantly costly Evo parts that could wear out or fail.

I'm in the process of downsizing my fleet, but I would like to stay in an Evo, but my price range is that of higher mileage vehicles.

if its a good price i think you'll be find. i dont think any evo parts enjoy breaking but i think the most common thing you'd see with high mileage evos is oil leaks.

I have searched, but I get alot of "this could go out" or "that could go out". Yeah on high mileage cars alot of things will/can go out. I wasn't really finding anything common in threads that would give me an idea as to what common things fail or wear out.

If you can find a high mileage evo for under $18grand, then I'm an astronaut. Just check everything out, but expect to throw down some $$$ to do some catch-up maintenance cause you never know how the previous owners treated it or what parts they took off/threw away because they thought it looked better without them (my case, anyway).

I don't mind paying for the catch up maintenance. In the end, yeah I may pay close to the same for one that might be in better condition, but you have to get in the game when you can .

Maintence reciepts are a huge plus when buying a car.
You can generally tell how the car has been treated by examining the car and the owner before you buy it.
