Front windshield/roof trim...why can't it stick?

Okay guys, this is my second driver's side windshield/roof trim I've bought...my first one flew off and is laying mangled somewhere on the German autobahn. This trim is the long black exterior aluminum trim piece. It's supposed to snap and stay put. It does snap in snug for the roof and rear window but when I am driving fast I can hear the front portion kinda flap....any faster and it will tear off. i have inspected the plastic latch pieces on both the car and on the trim piece and it looks fine. No, I don't think it is the way the trim piece is lined up to the car since the piece is shaped like the silhouette of the Evo and moving it forward or backward will not make it stay flush any better.

Is there any other solution short of gluing this thing on? Your solutions please!

Ever had your windshield replaced? Chances are they didn't line it up properly, and that's why the piece keeps coming off.

You might have to use some kind windshield adhesive or something along those lines.
