its called a MR with appearance package, mitsu did not put the SE sticker on the mr's like the IX SE got for a reason....

 

I think mine actualy said MR w/ SE package....

 

don't know if this was already said but "special editions" mr or regular only came in three colors: tarmac black, graphite grey and apex silver. i own a 06' 9 se and the dealership i bought mine from didn't even have any regular 9's there. as far as i know, the se 9's get all the mr goodies except the 6 speed tranny (5 speed is better anyway) and that ugly vortex generator that don't really work. you get aluminum roof and all the good stuff that's been mentioned already. if you want to know if you got ripped, just go lightly knock on your roof. it's probably aluminum if you got any knid of se. there is one thing i don't know about though, is the carbon fiber dash trim on all evos or is it just a se and mr thing? all opinions on the tranny and vortex thing so don't mind. just what i think of them.

 

its rare...well evos are a rare car to begin w/ except in Cali

According to Huntington Beach Mitsu here in Cali, it's just an MR fully loaded with SE stuff

 

I think they are pretty rare.I only see about 1-2 a month if that.

 

The MR also gets the Zero-lift package and killer daily driver shocks The ony 9s that do not get the carbon fiber trim were the RS. Hey....I like the Vortex Generater, lol.

Call-em what you want, they are MR 'SE' editions. The red thread in the seats and front lip finish off the car nicly. I wouldn't change a thing

 

the rims are way better on the se models! i have random people tell me at stop lights or what not how much they like my rims but dont say nothing about the car??? i kinda hate the way the reg gray mr rims look

When I was going to buy my Evo MR I talked to South Coast Mitsu and they told me that the MR SE was just a package that you can buy at the time of purchase. For the money I went with an 05 MR. Then I got the SE Recaro seats front, back, the carbon fiber dash trim, the dark head lights, the black tail lights, and even the black steering wheel. Only thing I need now is the 06 Evo IX front bumper with SE lip and I have the same thing has an 06 MR SE besides the MIVEC. But I have 280 Cams so no difference. Also I have the Evo 9 turbo also. But I will never consider it an MR SE.
