So when you guys brought IX back a few years ago... did you guys buy the IX MR w/ SE package or something?
If you're looking for fog lights beneath the headlights you're looking in the wrong spot. They're actually a part of the headlight itself, just off to the side (closer the center if I'm not mistaken).

When I bought mine the guy said he had a regular MR, and for a little more the MR Special Edition (which he explained was simply an appearance package). Yes, you could go around saying you have an MR with appearance package, but saying you have an MR SE is so much easier.

+1. to say MR SE is inventing a designation that you won't find anywhere other than an evo forum or a salesman talking to an evo enthusiast. look up blue book, et al and you will find no reference to to an MR SE.

with that in mind, IIRC the 9 RS is the rarest of all 9s. the 2005 evo 8 MR is the rarest of all MRs.

i too have a 9 "MR SE" in gray.

exactly. the special edition package on the "gsr" consisted of some aluminum body panels, the red stitching on the seats, and the special finish bbs wheels.

since the MR already comes with the aluminum body panels, it is just an MR with an appearance package. not an MR SE.

so says the window sticker that came with my car.

if you see an MR with an SE badge, they're foolin you.

This was according to a source at my Mitsu dealer....so I am not sure how good this info is.

the MR SE is the rarest of the MR's for sure, but I think the IX RS is the rarest of the IX breed!

i've read that too, but as mentioned before its an MR with an appearance package. So a total of 1,500 MR's were produced and exported to the US. not sure what the actual number on MR "SE's" are.

When compared to the RS, the TB MS is (errrr...) common. Keep laughing and thinking that you've gotten a piece of your own. We can all dream.
FYI, This thread is not about rarity, I asked how many Evo 9 MR SE's are out there.

I quoted your post verbatim. I hate to tell tell you, but folks are free to respond to the parts where they feels comfortable sharing their knowledge. At the risk of posting the brutally obvious, Einstein, that's how discussion forums work.

I understand that but. The topic said Evo 9 MR SE how many are there. Not being a ****, just trying to find an answer to the question. Thanks for the compliment.

Then, you should have used the text to illustrate the same, unlike what you actually posted. Please don't blame me for your own actions.

Good luck.
