Best AMS turbo kit?????

what would be the best AMS turbo kit for my evo ix mr? i do some street racing, auto x, and i have been to a couple tracks?
my friend has the 35 and he likes it alot... should i go with that?

I would think a 35 might be a bit much and laggy for auto x. Drag racing and such it would be a nice choice. There's a reason why its so common. It all depends on how much power your looking for and how much lag is acceptable. And yes the search button might yield some good advice, not to mention a call to AMS since you live in Chicago. Good luck with your decision!

if you decide on getting the 35 get a stroker to lower the rpm spool up on the turbo also licp help with turbo spool up (lower intercooler pipes)

Green turbo or GT3076R. For the street or auto-x, you'll want less lag than a 35R.

Just did a 3076 on a 2.0 and it spooled better than a 35r, made 455whp on a mustang dyno with a conservative tune on 27lbs with alchy and 93 FYI.

Go with a 50trim & meth. Heres a graph of my conservative tune @ 26-27psi. It has amazing as good as stock spool up....

The Evo is already laggy for autoX, even with as quickly as it spools. Anything bigger would help you only on the dragstrip or a larger track.
