is 32k - 33k a fully loaded model with HID and sunroof? What do mean by bare bones? Does it come nicely loaded like the WRX?

$32K?!?!

Whatever happened to the guarantee that it would be below $30k?

the base price is proobably gonna be under 30k to keep the sticky price competitive, but you have to expect the options to be a good couple K, thats how they get good money

I have seen a few colors of the Evo VII, but my color choices would be Silver followed by black and probably the sky blue? Silver is just awesome color. MAkes the car looks more expensive becasue its has a nice silver shine. My frist choice, Second I would take the black on since it looks mean and especially at night, but only draw back would be the paint, any minor scratches will shoe up and have to take good care of it. Blue is too flassy but still nice. So can spot the blue one from a good distance combined with the xenon lights its just awesome. I saw the other week a blue 7 and silver 7 were parked in front of a club in MAlaysia. Both were nice, the blue stood out more of course due to the color brightness but when I got close to the silver on , man the lines and details of that car is just awesome. It would depend on your age also. Want a boy racer car then get the blue but for a classier look get the Silver! I see white ones around but it has no shine or wow look to it. A couple of times I see a white 7 parked in front of my building and I still dont think its all that great of a color unless you do some crazy stickers added on to it. The GT-A I saw was a mettalic midnight blue one which I would get over any off the other colors because to me that color is awesome. And today I saw a burgundy red one which is quite ugly, but at least it had more red then that orangy color. In Malaysia most 7's that are sold are mostyl silver color. No one wants yellow cause its so dam gay. I saw one on the streets before but i didnt have the brigth look like the blue one. That is why there are still a few yellow ones in the dealers now. For me? sh*t I get the silver on, my dealer sold it to someone else.. @#%^%$!!!!! Cant go wrong with silver. PLease dont buy a color ful car and then puting like lame stickers on it to make it worse. Right now im waiting for the supposively Jap spec Evo 8 but still not confirmed on the specs. So i say to my self I should just not think about it until I see an actual 8 car in the magazines or whatevers. I been spending too much time on this crap and still pissed off! Why am I typing at such late hours is because im tired and my sleeping pill is kicking in right now so my typing is all messed up, dam i feel a bit high cheers dam ****** in Malaysia are making us paying 65k for a evo 7. I can live with but knowing with that kind of money you cant get sh*t with that kind of $$$$ here. Yes we get cars llike R-34 ...etc but hey you gotta pay the price. I would love a 2002 M3 but paying 150k US dollars will make me jump off the cliff
Cheers, man this pill kicking it big time, gotta go pass out now, laters!!!!!

The letter is dated April 2002, why didn't we hear anything sooner? Even though it is from the REGIONAL sales office, it's still SALES, they can assume, but things can still change. I just spoke to my area dealer now and he says NO EVO VII, YES EVO VIII. So maybe plans have changed since APRIL?

I have a letter from Mitsubishi from the dealer that says I am to take delivery on an EVO VIII in January or February of 2003.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch! I say all this is just another rumor, there are no hard stated facts, I could probably get the dealer to put EVO VIXIXIXIX in writing for Sept. delivery :P

ya i just got back from the dealer today and i was told its "DEFINATELY going to be a VIII" and "all the japan spec parts will be a carry over except the front mount intercooler which will be moved to 2 side mounts to meet US regulations"...they also said that Wayzata must just be taking deposits hoping that Mitsu will give them that many cars just because they can say they have that many buyers, they said that Mitsu will decide allocation by the number of non-evo lancers sold by each dealership this year...hope this helps a bit
