I have heard that o2 housings can cause an increase boost levels. Im sure someone more learned in flow characteristics can chime in here.

Those mods will increase your boost. I'd get a boost controller and turn it down a bit and then work on a good tune. You're flowing more air now.

I agree with Porsherules911. You'll need a tune to get the Evo run more smoothly and the mbc to control boost so you won't blow your motor. I'm waiting for my Hallman MBC and then I'll get it tuned by 4WS. It's $150 comparing to other vendors. The only thing you'll need is the cable to flash your ECU. It cost about $98 or so. Got mine already. PM Tamer at 4WheelSlide for more info. Great guy to work with plus you'll learn how to tune too if you can study the data. GL

it never hurts to get a tune when installing power mods or improved air flow mods........a MBC would control it enough until you get a tune though

I would get both in your situation. The mbc will cut down on boost taper because right now youre most likely seeing a peak of 1.6 bar but tapering down to around 1.0-1.15 bar. As far as the tune, youre going to pick up a very good amount of hp and torque along with better mpg, quick spool up, response, broader power band etc etc etc Not running a commercial here lol Its a necessary part of tuning a turbo car, unlike say a vette....

Shoot me a PM and we'll throw a base map on the car until youre ready to get tuned so the cars running safer and smoother.

Cheers!

1.6 BAR is only about 22psi so don't be worried that your overboosting too much.
