Whining?
Whining?
I recently had an ACT clutch and flywheel installed. Great installer...then a very small continuous whine started. Sounds like a aftermarket Walbro pump wine near the back wheels...but the funny thing is...I have a stock fuel pump
Strange, any ideas what it could be? Doesn't bother me really, just making sure it isn't anything related to my car breaking or a safety issue. Thanks for your help!

not the same whine as the transfer case...very mild compared to the TC whine. Also whine is from the back of the car...now, unless some leprechaun decided to gift me with a Walbro...pretty sure it's stock. Sounds EXACTLY like the 255 pump's whining. Weird...any ideas?

It's just when it idles...it's so faint you can't hear it at all when driving. Just sitting there at idle outside of the car, like I said before sounds exactly like a Walbro pump whine...weird cause it's a stock pump.
The whining just stopped when I went out today...I failed to mention that I changed out the perrin turbo back for the stock just for inspection two days ago
lol then changed it back...the gaskets were shot so I used that copper rtv sealant as "gaskets". It didn't "cure" entirely...actually to be honest I drove it right away, do ya think some air was escaping and now that the sealant is fully dry the whining is gone? Just another thought...all input would help. Thanks.

transfer case... you might wanna try and flush the transfer case... if you can. that might save it... but if you had metal shavings in the fluid at the time of the clutch change could also cause the issue too
