peeling brembos
sorry to tell you man...but i think you are SOL. Mitsu plain sucks...and wont cover it. i sanded mine down myself and re-cleared them...but now again they are peeling. the are coming off soon to get sandblasted and powder coated. everyone here has the same issue.
I tried to warranty mine out, but the dealer said, "No". The reason why they said no is because they classify it as a wear and tear item. They said that rock or debres or some chemicals can cause the brake to peel so it's not a warranty item.

Another Brembo peeling thread huh? This is like thread number 1,001. Anyway, I say go to the dealer and try to get new calipers. I got all four of mine replaced in November under warranty. I had about 34k miles on the car at the time and it is an '04. My dealer hooked me up. Some wont but it is at least worth a shot.
To try and avoid the peeling, never use wheel cleaner or any chemicals on the calipers. I learned my lesson. Maybe that wasnt what did it but from now on they only see soap and water just to be safe.

Ok, I just checked my calipers today and the drivers side shows signs of potential pelling. The sad part is, I've owned my car for six months and it only has 5500 miles on it. If it pogresses I will take it down to Mitsu and see what they say.
I wouldn't expect something like this from Brembo brand.

My bro got all his brembos front and back replaced under warranty about a month ago. He has an 05 evo 8 with about 19xxx miles. My brembos were perfect till I got my brake pads changed and those aholes put something on my calipers. They said it was the brake fluid when they were bleeding the brakes. Now all of them are peeling. My car only has 16xxx miles. Sad really how these brembos peel so easy.
