tactrix help for Evo5

so i went to put in my cable but could only find one plug for the black end and no other place to put the white end.

can someone tell me what i should do with the left over plug... or if there is a place to put it, where??

Ecuflash will not connect until i do something with the left over plug. im running an evo 7 ecu in the car and also need to wipe the fault codes so my check engine light dosent constantly stay on...

HELP!!!!

It should be next to the OBD II black connector. If you reach with your hand, it should be on the left of it. Let me know if you still can't find it.

Nevermind I forgot to look closely. Your Evo is not Evo8

If your running an Evo 7 ecu, clearing the codes wont stop them coming back unless you disable them. Go to the Ecuflash section and search for the EGR disable and the rear o2 sensor disable. If that doesnt clear them, either leave the light flashing or chop the wire at the ecu pin 36

The connector isnt there in the 5 but the cable is. It is in a blank connector way up behind the dash.

The easiest way is to run a new cable from the ecu to where the odbii connector is and putting a bullet connector on it so you can connect the init lead on the tatrix cable.
The pin number is 79 and the cable is WHITE/GREEN

so i have to join the tactrix cable (white end) to pin 79??

yes- just disconnect the white connector and attach only the thin black wire. The extra 2 wires at the connector are only for extra support.
