This thread has become pointless. This is what it comes down to. For the Evo VIII, any cams would be better than stock cams because the stock VIII cams sucks much @$$. For the IX, choose wisely because the IX cams are pretty decent already, it would be hard to make more power out of upgrading the cams. This is where The cosworths come in. They make GREAT power for the IX.

here is my 2 cents... I have use the HKS 272 since 2005 when I bought the car. I have yet have any problem with them... I had the car Dyno'ed at 360whp on the stock turbo. So, thats my story.

for the most part everyone here never looks at what goes on under the curve. HKS makes alot of midrange power with a small gain up top. most of the cams everyone else speaks of makes all the power up top with a loss in the midrange. it all depends what you are looking for...personally i like the response and midrange of the hks over the peakiness of the cossies...for track racing it makes more sense also...drag racing the cossies will work fantastic
make an educated purchase to what you are really looking for in the motor...
