high idle?

I just bought an evo ix and after I bought it and drove for few hundred miles, the idle was fine. However, today I noticed that the idle kept staying at around 1000rpm. It was also rainy today...could this cause it to have a high idle? No SES lights. The car only has 10k miles on it. My fiance also turned key over by accident while the car was still running; don't know if this could cause it.

Was it cold outside, and was it on a cold start? Usually when you start the car up on a cold start it'll idle high 1000-1500 rpm and then come down to about 750-800 ish after a couple of minutes. At least that's what mine does and i'm at 10k on the odometer.

Did you have the front defroster on? That would explain it
