Yeah, you would have to find one and I have no idea where there is one, I cannot find any information on it at all and no one seems to know...

But I'm thinking new cat back

How do you like your SP2? I have heard clips, sounds nice, seems like its still loud though

not sure about this exhaust but it says that it is 85db at 5000rpm! I think that is about what stock is...

http://www.cvrmotorsports.com/store/...product_id=455

Interesting though i realize that Fujitsubo makes that exhaust as well as the same thing but "evolution" style, not sure the difference but this one seems quieter...

The law permits 95db, if it is under that than I am fine. If it is not than I need to make it quieter as cops are starting to become very **** about this, and at least if I am within the legal limit there is nothing that they can do.

I already have a resonated test pipe
I was thinking about putting another resonator in the midpipe or just getting a new quieter cat-back
What BD metter did you use , is the 95dbs spose to be in "A" or "C" scale

BTW Magnaflow #14419 3" muff works GREAT to drop sound and highway drown down . I had one welded on and I love it !

Not sure, probably dBA but no way of knowing...

Im not sure the meter I used, my weekend job is installing car stereos and they have a meter there but I have no idea what it is, I can tell you that I tested it twenty inches away with the meter 45 degrees to the side at about 5000rpm and it was ~100db sometime ~110db which leads me to believe the meter isn't that great

Im not sure how accurate the meter is, its old and worn....but still I am sure my exhaust is over 95db

I keep changing my mind about what to do, one minute I want to weld a new muffler on, the next I want to just get a different cat back

I want to do this as cheap and good as possible, but I can say that I really like how the Fujitsubo looks, and sounds

I've got the Fujitsubo RM01A and can attest to its relatively low noise levels. I'm also running a HFC so that doesn't hurt either.

How about the Apexi World Sport, I can't seem to find any information on this. From the clips that I have heard it is very very quite.

You can use a Perrin Exhaust I have the Stealth cat back for my evo 8 and I have a delete pipe(helix) I barely notice that I have an exhaust system. It's great but not too loud. My buddy(turbodemon) has the same delete pipe and the greddy Ti-C he is way louder than me.

I believe the Apexi WS has 2.75 in piping.

+1 This seems to be the main issue with the most popular "quiet" exhausts. Even with 3" piping, not too many offer 3" resonators.

Well, I seem to be at a loss. I have taken everyones advice, looked at all of the details of every quiet exhaust I can find and it seems like NONE of them are a full 3" except the Fujitsubo exhausts, and although nice I am not sure I want to spend that much.

The quiet cat-backs either taper, are 3 inches but the resonator is not a full 3 inches, or the whole system is less than 3 inches....

The Greddy EVO2 seemed nice until I found out that apparently it is actually heavier than the stock one....

So I am not sure what to do...

All I know is I want to get a "legally-quiet" cat-back that offers as much flow as possible, is a full 3" all the way, and soon!

Maybe I will try having a new mid-pipe made up with a really long resonator in it...

You've hit upon the main issue with quiet exhausts. My Fujitsubo isn't even full 3" as the ID of the resonators is slightly less than 3 inches.

Maybe I'll try the Apexi Active Tail Silencer, anyone who has used it says its good with very minimal losses...or possibly an HFC, but then I would lose even more and no guarantee it would be quiet enough

Your not going to lose power because you have a taper in your cat-back. Your worrying about the wrong things!

greddy sp2, greddy evo2, tanabe touring

^cheap, sound great, quality sound, look good ... just installed my evo2 today ... awesome
