What do I need to make my EVO8 faster?

I'm new here with an EVO8. I came from a Turboxs stage 2 WRX. I want to get recommendation from you guys on how to make this thing faster.

Well to keep you from being slow get a "no fat girls inside" decal on your window. Should keep your speed from getting "weighed down".

This topic was discussed on a few occassions I am sure. Try running a search for this, you could get more than 1 thread most likely.

Air fuel tuning device since it runs too rich. I have read so much about it and I do feel I am a little more confident than usual now. Get urself a useful air fuel ratio gauge not those x'mas lights from autometer. I believe that the GReddy one is good enough. You should also get yourself an EGT as well to determine if your exhaust temperatures are too high or not. Then, bring it to a dyno or a flat open area where u can fine tune with an air fuel device such as SAFC or SAFR or EManage etc. But since you need to weld a bung in the downpipe or exhaust, get urself an aftermarket exhaust before doing so. You should get an intake (to free up some air going in, unneccessary but sounds nice and do give u maximum 4 hp to the wheels), downpipe, cat-delete, catback exhaust or just a turboback exhaust. Add a boost controller and set at 20psi starting from 3500 to redline and ur done You also need a better BOV btw... This is my goal for my Evo

TRDHarrier, thanks for the reply. With that upgrade, what power level should I be?

Electronic or manual BC
S-AFC or GReddy E-Manage. HOWEVER, skip the EBC if you have access to a full custom tune on a dyno with wideband o2 -- such as a reflash or piggyback set-up. For instance, I plan to run an S-AFC & EBC until a custom tune becomes avail. in my area (Ecutech software is being developed for evo)

3" TURBO back exhaust (remove cat)
BOV
272/264 CAMS

Even without the cams, this set-up (with MBC & S-AFC) will cost between $1500-2500 for approx. 280 whp! You can expect very low 1/4 mile 12's or possible high 11's with the cams ... and mid to high 12's without.

GREDDy SAFC, SAFR, EManage, intake is crap, dont buy it. If you want more power you need a turbo kit, good ecu, cams and a downpipe with free flowing exhaust.
Buying crap you dont need is neither smart, nor cheap. Just my .02cents

u make less power if u run too rich....that is why our engines are rated 271 hp while the jdm evos are at 300
