Then please enlighten me. Maybe you dont fully understand. Let me learn you something.
The holding power of a clutch is not rated in WHP. It is rated by ft/lb of torque. Ever notice how the HP and Torque lines of a dyno sheet always cross at 5250 RPM? There is a reason for that, but that is another learning session. If the OP stated 400 WHP at a certain RPM we could figure out how much torque the car was developing at that RPM. Thus my statement.
Your welcome.

in all seriousness, its about how u drive too. Some people just dont drive the way they should to keep a clutch safe. I've been for rides in definitely 100+ cars in my life (still only 23) and i've seen some crazy drivers. And most dont think they're doing anything wrong. I've seen people that kinda hit the gas before they let off the clutch completely and slip between every shift. I've seen people that ride the clutch out HORRIBLY everytime they take off. I've seen people that will do 50 mph in 5th gear running 30 psi on meth on the stock clutch and NOT downshift to accelerate. They just floor it and the car spikes to like 34 psi, puts a TON of load on the clutch and then they wonder why they're stock clutch doesnt hold when some other guy is making 500whp on a 35r on stock clutch.
Then people say stuff like "you dont know how to drive" and some get offended. Its not that you physically cannot make a manual car mobile, its that your technique is horrendous. This isnt aimed at anyone in particular but alot of people just dont know to efficiently drive stick.

Its 5252.
Horsepower is derived from torque.
Thus you need to go back to school.

im at 370 whp and 380 wtq for a year now. Got the stock clutch still with 54k on it and it holds fine. No slipping yet. Only dragged it once at the track and usually once a week on the street with some "friends".

the stock clutch will not last long with 400 whp on it, no matter how u drive it, its not rated for that, upgrade to exedy twin disk, ive heard nothing but good things about them and have had mine for a little while now with no problems, i also heard the act is garbage, end of discussion, anybody tellin u to run the stock clutch with 400whp is settn u up for disaster, take it for what its worth
