To those who run no spare ??

Do you run the cardboard piece that goes over it? How do you prevent it from bending? I've taken mine out a while ago, just haven't really been able to put anything "heavy" in the trunk because that cardboard piece just bends and forms a U shape. Do you guys just remove that cardboard piece and put stuff in the spare wheel well?

I have a Football that I leave in there, with a couple of towels. Helps support the groceries and always have entertainment when needed.

I keep a blanket under there... it acts as sound deadening, and also comes in handy at parks, autoX or just about any other place you might end up sitting on the grass.

Above are all great ideas but why not just take everything out? Just remove everything and you wont have that problem.

thats been working for me since 2003!

on a side not:

if you go on long trips and are worried about getting a flat, slime sells a little package that contains 1 bottle of slime good for up to a 20" rim, a mini 12v powered air compressor and a small multi use tool. all within a 10x4x6 inch containar that weighs under 4 pounds.

one of those and a couple tire plugs/rasp tool and your good to go concur any interstate!

then you call AAA. go ball it up in at the nearest days inn or motel 6 enjoy only the finest vending machine cuisine and free ice. the semi repair shop down the street orders 4 new tires and replaces all of them. because you cant drive more a 50 miles on a spare anyways........

i also leave a blanket in there, along with other emergency stuff. I dont want to be stranded in the ditch for 8 hrs like 2 years ago. that was hell.

Guess, the cardboard is coming out . I'm just very OCD and would hate to scratch up the "spare wheel well" paint. :laughs:
