You go first... When your testing of 5th gear full boost, 100% throttle for 15 mins straight passes. I might give it some thought...

19'd. for stupidity. all those businesses trying to minimize business expenses... they're so ghey! and we all know that warren buffet is so rich because he paid zero attention to expenses!

E85 is tempting, and this is certainly an interesting time. i just can't see E85 being so heavily subsidized forever, though, considering its impact on food supply. but then again, oil futures went north of $200/ barrel for December, without E85 to alleviate some demand, oil cost would probably be even worse.

go for it. i'm sure you've seen what lucas english has done with it.

I was thinking about this.. So what happens when Iraq stabalizes, gets their government in place, and we start buying in bulk from them? While I can never justify the loss of life for the commodity of fuel, I rather like the concept of buying oil from a democratic nation. Isn't that how this will all end up in a best case scenario?

That is of course unless we figure out how to power our cars with coal. We have about as much coal as the middle east does oil...

Just a thought.. maybe I'm missing something. I'm certainly open to being educated on the topic.

I don't think it will ever be stabilized in my life time and I'm only 28...

E-85 prices have stayed pretty consistant here for the last few months, around 2.95-299. While 92 has skyrocketed. I got 205 miles last tank before the gas light came on. Needless to say, I'm very happy.

I wish I could pay 3.99 a gallon... paying anywhere from 4.15-4.25ish/gal for "premium" (91 octane).

Your first statement is funny to me. I am not too sure that will ever happen. They don't want it to happen, yet we keep sending troops over there to get killed while our trust worthy goverment officials try and force feed this concept down their throats. E85 is a good idea, but i believe if it becomes more in demand the price will go up because the tankers shipping it around are paying close to $5 a gallon. by the way it has been proven that we have enough oil under the US, we really don't need to buy from them. Not to mention the oil companies are putting 70 billion barrels a day into a warehouse so if any thing were to ever happen, we would be ok.

It costs $3.69 for 93 octane here in NH.
Having a great gas mileage is good and all but what's fun in that. I drive my Evo as DD and I know what you guys are talking about.
For every gallon of gas, there's mastercard or cash.
For evey smille driving Evo, priceless!

However, joke on the side, paying this much for gas sucks! I don't want to go off topic here but I wish the gas was the only thing that costs more money these days.

I switched over to E85 about a month ago and it was $2.69. then the next tank it went up $.10 and the next one after that another $.10
hopefully it stays at $2.89 for awhile. premium (92) is currently $3.75+.
the sad thing is I'm paying more for E85 then premium was last year
gotta love our depandancy on Big Oil
I just wish they would make ethanol out of something besides corn.

I would love it if I could get premium for that price...especially if it is higher than 91. My last fill up was 4.19 a gallon for 91.
