What has green grease in it? Help please

Edit: This post is before I opened shop and was still doing it as a hobby.

I'm at Watkins Glen today and tomorrow driving the car the way it was meant to be driven and I am getting green grease splatter on the the inside of my drivers side rim, lower control arm and bottom of the strut. I am thinking the CV joint is leaking but can't find where it's coming from and would like someone to confirm or deny. Spanks. It could have been something I picked up on the road but somehow I doubt that.

Thanks for the responses guys, appreciate it. Now does this mean it's time to order a new driveshaft or should I ignore it?

Agreed. Where did you get it from?

On the board, used but in good shape.

Just watch for one. They pop up every now and again. Your not in a dire need so just keep an eye open.

you can also just get a cv boot kit and replace the boot by itself. Usually much cheaper option.

Now that I realize there is probably nothing wrong except a ripped boot (relieved, new axle is $500) I am probably going to just find the hole that the grease is leaking out of, squirt some new grease in there and then silicone it up. I love silicone. Thanks again for the help guys. I love EvoM, who needs a mechanic.

Edit: It appears that the boot is a two piece unit and was starting to separate at the seam. Pumped some new grease in and siliconed up the seam. Will see how it holds up.
