Unhappy Is over 80 healthy?

To make a long story short, I spoke with a mechanic that has been good friends with my family for a long while. I'm in the market for an Evo and he told me after 80k miles you start to hear noises and you have real problems with Mitsubishi.

Any input from people would be very much appreciated. I plan on keeping this car for a while...even after 80k miles.

Every car starts to have noises with higher miles. So what....you can always build the engine if you wanted too.

huh? lol, i got 68k on mine, did clutch change when the car hit 46k, just because i went with bigger Turbo. No problems! go figure.

btw, as far evo? it is not a luxury car, i.e bmw.audi.benz.

It is AWD car, handles like gocart, it will make noises here and there. You have to make a decision what fits you the best.

it all depends on how it was treated, 80k is not much for a evo... if the car was beat and not cared for 8k is alot for a evo...lol

did that answer anything?

even if the car was beat to hell, 80K is not alot. just gotta make sure you dont have any transfer case whine, and the fluids were changed.
Evos go well over 100K without issues if it was taken care of.

77K on mine before I tore the motor out and the only thing that rattled was the coins in the ash tray.

If you have like 10,000 extra dollars buy this Monster Sport crate engine...

http://www.monster-sport.com/product/parts/complete_eng/index.html

its insane.....I have gone to this site to drool over the engine like fifty times...

On topic though, it personally think that go for it, the 4G63 is pretty bulletproof...if has been abused then you might have to tweak a few things though.....this is a useless post, sorry.
