Slower?

My friend just got an Evo 8. and i have an Evo 9.
I have MBC, Full 3" exhaust, and a fuel pump.(getting re flash and tune in a week)
He has MBC, Exhaust, ARC intercooler with both pipes, Cams, and a fuel pump.

We raced at a closed down airstrip and i took him stopped and going.
we raced at 0, 15, 25, 40 and i beat him in all.
i was wondering how i was able to win every single time when he has more stuff?
we switched cars and he beat me? so i think it has something to do with the difference in turbo size? anyone think its that?

IXs are generally stronger to begin with and respond better to bolt-ons. Also, his IC and piping don't do much for peak hp.

Proof positive on why the first mod alot of Evo 8 owners do is upgrade to a 9 turbo. Cheap power!

not much different......2003-2004 you only need cams, and a 10.5 hotside
and 2005 you only need cams. Once all evos are modded you don't even notice
