Buschur Air Intake Help

This might be if in wrong section. I apologize if it is.

Okay So I'm new to modding period. I picked up my evo8 and a month ago and I'm putting the Buschur Air Intake on it. The Intake is on and everything is running good. But I was given a L bracket to help hold the intake in place. I'm just not sure where to put it.

So to anyone that has the Buschur air intake could you post a pic of where your bracket is located?

If you have the hard pipe the L bracket as i found out doesn't really matter. The bracket is simply to hold the filter up with the stock intake tube which is pretty flexible. I have modified the bracket a little bit and put it on with the hard pipe. If you want I can take a picture of it.

Oh well there is this gold looking piece of metal under where the filter will end up. You need to that that off to give the bracket somewhere to hook into. Then attach one end of the bracket to the lower corner of maf adapter, the corner that is towards the drivers seat. You should be able to line up the bracket with one of the 10mm bolt holes you removed when removing the golden bracket.

Hope that helps.

I attached the bracket to where one of the bolts of the stock boost solenoid is. I used a longer bolt from another bracket the airbox attached to. Would you like me to take a photo, or does that makes sense? The bracket holds up the air filter by the MAF sensor. I was unsure about that at first, but I've had zero problems with it.

I attached my MBC to the little Buschur bracket in fact. Good spot for short lines to WGA and turbo nipple.

I'm just going to post a few pictures how mine is attached.

Note the DV is sitting in that position purely for aesthetic purposes.

I just installed mine too (big thanks to RoadSpike for those pics). Only issue was, aside from figuring out that l-bracket, the fluid reservoir there on ACD models makes it a tight squeeze. My engine bay looks a little neater now though and my RPMs at idle seem to be a lot more stable as well with this filter.

And holy hell does this thing make a lot of noise, even with the stock DV

Yeah they sound wonderful. This filter was one of my first mods. It held me over until I could get the exhaust on.

You can just do a drop in filter, as they are good to about 400hp. When you install the exhaust, you will need to get the car tuned.
