Oil Filters?

Hey guys, just wondering if you all use the OEM filters and if so where do you get them? Also... do the Evo 8's and 9's use the same one? I'm assuming they do, but just wanted to double check.

What does the dealer charge, I bought OEM for $6.00. Lately I have switched to Mobil 1 (M1-110) filters at $10. I like the Mobil 1 much better after watching the oil come out, just my opinion

I used OEM and bought my first filter from the dealer. Cost about 10$ after taxes & all. I'm gonna order a bunch through RussellM and just keep 'em at home & use 'em when its time for oil change. (he's cheaper than my local dealer)

I use the OEM filters. Can't beat the price at the local dealer: 5 for $20. I have quite a stock of my own now.

ok thanks for the info all... I just wasn't sure since some were saying they were for the Evo 8, but even though it's the Mivec, it's still the 4g63 so I figured it must be the same filter.

Does anyone here get new crush washers when they change theirs or is that really not necessary?

You are supposed to change them every time, not everyone does though.

yeah, I was looking at slowboy racing... they are 7$ a piece, and I was going to order like 5 of them, but 13.00 for shipping seems a bit pricey and winds up costing 9.00 a piece for the filters.. I could go to a local price and do better which is what I think i'll do.

Go to the one on Cobb Pkwy in Scarietta. Don't know if Rick Case has the same deal or not.
