Sparco Seats

I am looking at getting a new driver seat. The size isnt really a big deal, im 6' 180 and have narrow hips with average width shoulders. My question is, I need it to support 5-point harnesses. The 3 im looking at are: Sparco Fighter, Sparco Evo, and Sparco Corsa. I like the look of all 3 in black, but it has to be capable of properly using the Sub Belt. So which would you pick if all 3 support the sub belt.

Evo
Fighter
Corsa

Thanks!

I am not voting because I have not sat in them all, and the best recommendation I can give you is to try to sit in them and find others who have sat in them, pay attention to their builds and what their points of reference wer. Not "felt pretty good", "uncomfortable" "too big" etc. but rather specifics like "not enough lumbar" "hips pinched," "excellent shoulder bolster fitment/support" etc.)

That being said, most people like the Evo, IF you get the right size and know what a good bucket is supposed to feel like.

I think the fighter is actually a tuning/street seat. I found out its not FIA approved, so its pretty much out. The EVO and the Corsa are both competition seats. Im not too worried about it, the car will eventually have a roll bar. I already have harnesses. But I am strongly leaning torwards the evo.

In addition, the Fighter is bottom-mount. That is one of the biggest strikes against it.
SCC magazine did a seat buyers guide many years back, and used 5 people with different build in every seat. IIRC the Evo did better accross the boards than the others you mentioned.

Do yourself a favor, Have your mounting setup ideas before you pick your seat. That is unless your getting something custom made. I've struggled getting my Recaro seat mounted, either the mounts did'nt fit the seat, sat too high etc... In my experience finding the seat is the easy part, getting a mounting setup that works for your particular setup can be a PIA.
To answer your question, I like the Evo myself. Very comfortable for a bucket seat.

WHat mounts are you guys using to get it to sit a little lower than stock or stock height at the most. I am already planning to use the Sparco Side Mounts, but as far as the slider, did you just use the Sparco or there another one that will work better with this set-up? I would like it to be pretty much bolt in and not need any custom fabricating! I understand adjusting where the sliders are mounted, but as far as hooking them into the car I want it to be easy!

Disregard early in the thread that the mounts won't clear sliders, Mike has re-tooled them so sliders will work.

You can set the seat height with the side mounts such that you are in pretty much at OEM seat height. Nice options are an L-channel sub mount bracket and fire extinguisher mount.

I would love to if I could afford them! I really like the look of the Evos, Im just not sure which one to get! Im stuck between the Evo and the Evo 2! Im trying to see if there is anywhere around me that has them I can try but Im not having much luck with it! If anyone has the Evo or Evo 2, could you please post your size and how you like the fit of the seat you have? Thanks!
