IC Pipe issue!

The pipe just before the throttle body keeps popping off everytime I get to full boost. I have run my car at full boost before with the same equipment and never had this issue happen over and over like this. All hardware is tight. I am thinking it could be due to my wastegate sticking. What else could it be??? Thanks inadvance

Is it the stock UICP or an aftermarket one?

its the stock unit. I've tried to replace that particular piece with a new one and still have the same issue. I figured it was swelling up and popping off but i think there is more to it. I haven't tried tbolt clamps yet, but even with good stock clamps it shouldn't pop at 20 psi everytime.

I have the same issue, however, I'm having problems with the elbow close to the radiator. It actually poped off and was hitting the radiator fan! I bought new one and put some sillicon inside to keep in place. Check your clamps, they may not be holding tight.

I would invest in some t-bolt clamps and maybe some silicone hoses. You may have overtightened your stock clamps at one point and now they are stripped.Kind of like when you strip a bolt.

spray some hairspray on the ends on the pipes let it get tacky then connect them

hairspray + t-bolt clamps = mission accomplished

I know the hairspray trick but Im not convinced that will work either. This isn't a random occurance but happens every time I hit boost over 20 psi, and has happened with new hardware.

Buy t-bolt clamps and you should be good to go. I remember having that problem when I first got the car and kept blowing the clamp at the throttle body while it was still stock. Funny enough, when I started modding and boosting more, it stopped doing that lol.

lol....that is funny. Tonight I will try to use two stock style clamps until I can get my hands on a t-bolt clamp that will fit the throttle body.

you can try putting a clamp around the "bend" (the piece between the hardpip and throttle body, near the firewall) that part actually will expand and hit your strut bar during boost. That will help with all that pressure on your throttle body clamp.

I have this issue also. I will be investing in some T-bolt clamp tonight. I don't go into full boost often so I'm not too worried.
