That sounds weird. I've been boosting to 25psi for over 2 years now and never had a hose pop off. ::knocks on wood::

Have you removed the pipe before for some reason?

Okay, problem solved so far. I didn't have a tbolt clamp or a source for one close, so I took two stock style clamps and put them side by side and used the hairspray trick!! Ill update you guys if this fails. Looks to be holding great at 30 psi.

It is a 3" clamp. I bought a t-bolt one from Autozone and it fixed it and has yet to come off again. The stock ones just sometimes don't hold as well as they did when they were new. I don't know how I feel about two clamps, but whatever works.

Keep in mind too that there IS such a thing as overtghtening a clamp. All Clamps have a torquing spec, just like bolts do, and if you go over, a lot of times it will create a worse situation than under-tightening.

T-bolts are the best way to go because they are usually about 3/4" wide, thus causing about a 1/2" wide bigger sealing surface, and can hold a lot more pressure.

One other thing that will help is to take say a Scotchbrite pad and roughen up the throttle body contact area where the hose will seal against. It will create a "rougher" texture for the rubber hose to grip against, holding it from popping off better.

I've had it. Even with two clamps and hairspray under slight boost on the way to work this morning they fell apart again. Im going to put the factory air box back on and see what happens. This never happened before I put the open filter and maf adapter on.

No one knows you're pain like I do. I'm sure I've replied to a similar thread awhile back. The first time I heard that pop I knew for sure that my engine was seized..lol Ugh, but I immediately recall a buddy telling me about his UICP popping. So I cleaned it out, tried many things but it would still pop, the last time it popped it was in a dangerous spot so while I was at Turbo Trix I had them custom make me an UICP and they extended my Ultimate racing LICP plus they beaded the end for me. Now I boost with confidence. My route was a bit more expensive, but just like you, I just got fed up and tired of that pop. You might still have that issue with the stock airbox I heard that the T-bolts do the trick.

BTW- I was using constant torque clamps. I also remember someone posting this link as another alternative to T-bolts.

A 3" T-bolt clamp will work, but the TB clamp size for perfect fitment without excess exposed thread is a 2.75". The rest of the clamps for the UICP connections are 2.5". Hopefully that helps someone
