it could be your spark plugs.

yea there are a ton of threads on this.. p0300? i am having the same issue. a lot of things could be causing it from metalmetal vibrations to your sparkplugs (i see that you just got new ones) there is a dealer flash for it, but aparently it will erase your tune.

Sakib its Stags from Stratford....

Check your Vaccumn lines...i had a tear in one of mine once, car was idling funny(obviously) and my car popped the P0300 code.

BUT if you want to clear the Check Engine light dont reset the battery. There are 2 Fuses that you can pull that will clear the Check Engine light. Under the hood in the fuse panel look for the 2 fuses that have a picture of a little engine. I can show you which ones this weekend if you want PM me ur number.

If you pull those fuses and plug them back in, say in the parking lot of where ur getting the emissions done, hopefully it wont go on by the time they Check it.

^^^ so im guessing ct is a visual check and not an actual obd2 scan? i cant imagine pulling the fuses would really work, since that would send the ecu into "not ready" mode right?

what mods do you have......if you are running real rich sometimes that can cause misfires due to the plugs becoming momentarily fouled......

could be timing issues too.....if you have evoscan and ecuflash pull a log and see what she is doing...

i changed my plugs out when this happend and then everything was good....

depending on mods though you might need an ignition amp......

Also if you have a tune or are running after market injectors and the latencies aren't spot on (like mine) then you will through a random misfire code. I am still tweeking on mine to get it to go away. Hopefully you will not have to wait as long as I have. Some guys just live with it. (obviously not emissions states!)

Has your car been tuned? When does the code trigger man during highway crusing or during idleing situations?

I had p0301 for a while. Did a compression / leakdown test...leak down pointed out a valve was not seating properly. Had valves reseated, all is good now.
