Alot of the cars running the '03 94170008 ROM have P0300 issues especially after a cam upgrade. When a car has this issue it can be a real headache - almost impossible to get rid of. I used to keep a cReader in my glove box for my ODBII port to clear the codes because I couldn't stand driving with my CEL on constantly.
Moving to a 94170014 or 94170015 ROM can sometimes help. Another trick that worked for me was carefully reworking my injector scaling & latencies after I upgraded my injectors & moved to e85. If nothing else just buy a cReader or other OBDII scan tool online & clear the code before being tested.

wow sucks to hear but you should go take emission fail it and see what you need to work on lol i have problem passing my emission also which is due the end of this month check your vaccum lines and make sure your egr valve is not stuck open or closed. a code reader would be nice to see which readiness monitor is needed to be open which there is 8 of them. but good luck.....
