Heat from AC vents
Heat from AC vents
I have noticed I have a fair amount of heat coming out of my AC vents in the car when the AC is off and the windows are open. It seems to be worse then it once was. What would cause this?
Is the temp knob turned to the red? I keed I keed
This is caused by SOUTH FLORIDA. It's friggin hot there...... Once again I keed I keed
It could be a result of the flap which covers the heater core being somehow not able to fully close. But the only way to tell is if you get into your dash. You may also want to check your coolant levels, Is the car running hotter than normal? Maybe there's a leak which is causing it to run hotter than usual and the heat cannot escape anywhere else other than the cabin. just a couple of thoughts
or u could hit the recycle button

Well it has becomse very hot here in south fl so maybe that is why I am noticing it. The car isn't over heating and coolant levels are right on. I will try the recycle air option. Also the knob is set to blue I know what you mean about it being on red. LOL

The intake for the passenger cabin vent is just in front of the windshield. The hot air coming out of the vent in the hood goes into the intake for the passenger cabin vents.
