on your map you can adjust your fuel trims during cruise......so now i run around 15.5 afr when im just cruising, and then everything goes to normal when i get on it

The fun part about evo is that you can really turn evo to 4 door sedan. It is possible when you shift before 3k rpm where the turbo does not boost at all. Well that is the city scenario. Highway is about the same, don't play that much with gas pedal when you don't need or have too. I tried my MR before when I was going to Vancouver BC, turned out I got like 24mpg or somewhere there on highway/freeway.

quite a few of my customers reported better gas mileage after a tune...
I just checked mine and it's 22mpg with city/highway daily driving...not bad for a 500awhp daily driver with twin walbro fuel pumps, 1000cc injectors and some spirited driving here and there

Sad days for car enthusiasts but then again the up side is that at some point these high prices will keep more people off the roads. :-)
Oh drive slower and don't spool the turbo so much and one can get mid to high 20mpgs. Not easy but possible.

some normal bolt ons will also help improve gas millage. I noticed an improvement with a downpipe, hfc and drop in filter. highway i get 25mpg, strickly around town i will get 19, but i also dont drive the car nicely. A tune will help if you are in open loop otherwise you will be running closed loop fueling which isn't affected by a tune. leaning out open loop will have negligible gains since you aren't usually in boost for very long. Also try keeping the car under 80mph on the highway.
The quicker my car gets, the worse the fuel economy. Most likely, this is due to my opening the taps at every opportunity. I see ~15-18MPG, all city. As mentioned, driving conservatively and staying out of boost saves fuel, as dull as that may be.

Stay off boost. I am hoping to get a tune soon cause around town I am barely getting over 200 to a tank and its killing me. Highway I can pull about 275 and then some but I never want to chance it.
why you people always make it look like people with expensive cars not suppose to care about gas.people who drive benz and bmw also want to save on gas. probably he just prefers an evo over a corolla and nothing is wrong with that.
It comes down to the fact that if the extra $10 per fillup is putting you over the top, then you made a poor decision in buying a car this expensive. It has NOTHING to do with being an Evo.
