My NASA super touring Evo 8 along with a MR 9 will be racing next weekend on the Pocono north course. Several Sti's will be our direct competition along with the rest of the ST-2 class. The Sti's are heavier and can run a bit more hp. The class is really building up in the northeast with development of the cars. I am running a 9 turbo with Cosworth cams in a stock motor. Autronic ecu with a manual boost control. You can run around 360whp for a 3100lb car. This could be a good place for a parts swap meet! I may bring some stock wheels for sale and some other items. NASA says they will have a dyno and scales at the track. I don't know if it is 4wd. The goal is to drive fast and finish several races to make the nationals at Mid Ohio later in September. The super touring 2 class is great for Evo's to play with simple power to weight rules and open car building. Suspension is free to develop. I'm using Moton club sports with Hoosier 275 R6. Who else is planning to go?

 

Sounds like a fun idea for a racing class ... if they ever have a race closer to home it might be something I'd take part in.
