Trading in my car for an Evo...

Hey I really love this forum and I find myself pretty much everyday just looking at new posts. Anyways, I have currently an SLK 320 with 19' Zenetti Rims. I love the car but it is a weekend car. My DD is a crappy 01 civic that i despise, it goes 0-60 in about a day sometimes longer, but I was thinking about trading in the SLK 320 and the civic for an EVO IX SSL EB or TB. I love those colors, this would be my DD. I know it doesnt have Cruise Control and the ride is a bit stiff but I dont really mind. I'm not young forever and I would really like a car that I want.

First issue is insurance.
How much is an evo running you guys (under 25)

Anyways, I just was wondering your opinions on the cars that I have currently and inputs on the evos.
Thanks for looking

If you can afford the SLK 320, you shouldn't worry about ins for the Evo I suppose it depends on how many speeding or accident you have in your lifetime.

Just call your insurance company and ask them for a quote.

I was quoted at 136 a month for insurance before I was 25. I have the same rates now too. I'm actually getting it for 122 a month since I have low mileage per year. It helps since I also have 3 cars, a bike, home owners insurance and life insurance with the company. I'm with state farm.

the slk 320 will be diffeent price than the evo. The evo is a different style of car. Some ins. companies will rate it differently. Keep in min the evo is newer, so the rates will change, they iht consier it a safer car!

USAA is loving me and my EVO. Im 24 and paying 119/month for full coverage including towing and rental, and that also includes my renters insurance so im sure it will be lower. 25 next month with no tickets or accidents, im excited to see what happens to the rate. Its also based on where you live.

NJ, no moving violations ever, 24yo, getting 1400 year full coverage with progressive. Everywhere else quoted me over 3k.

My cousin has a slk 320, he is going to trade it in for a sti. he wanted an evo I got it first now he doesnt want to copy me. The evo is a great daily driver, but it takes some getting used to. Its really aggressive and it feels like it just wants to go. You will enjoy the car.
