Mounting OEM Gauge Pod
Mounting OEM Gauge Pod
So... just got back from the "Stealership". I had them install the OEM gauge pod in my VIII... I'm having two issues:
1. The gauge pod is sunk into the console, there must be a part that sits between the gauges and the console so it sticks out where its supposed to. I have the right outside plasic piece, but the gauges are way back in there.
2. My oil temp sender isnt working. I got the oil drain plug and the wiring, how long does it take for the needle to move?
Any help appreciated, thanks!

Thanks for the help guys. According to Mitsu, the part (Bezel) comes with the full gauge kit they want $500 for.
But no matter, I got this working! Here is what I did:
Oil Temp Gauge: I traced the wires back to the gauge pod to make sure everything was fastened correctly. Turns out that the tech swapped the Voltage plug and the Oil Temp Plug on the back of the gauge pod!!!! I swapped em and now its working! Yea!
Bezel Piece: I made a trip over to Lowe's and bought four 2 inch screws and some Nylon spacers. Put em in, trimmed the spacers, and vwola!!
So I'm good, happy its all working and mounted properly! I saved some coin too by not buying the kit from mitsu

Oh yea, one other thing.... I was in the parking lot when i was mounting the gauges, it looked an awful lot like i was jacking a stereo system.... lots of people walked by and looked, but nobody said anything.... that bothers me.
