When I was selling mine, I did research into it... Turns out MOST buyers aren't doing carfaxes. And most sellers have wrecked Evos, repaired them, and are selling them for 16-18k without calling them salvage like they should. That's how it was about a year ago. 16-18k is probably about right for 60k+ '03s... I traded mine in back in August for 18.5k w/ 52k miles.

to be honest 22k seems pretty high for the amount of miles on your car. I have seen evos with 20k miles for 21k

I'm not here to defend those who make your statement true but rather the others, like me, who haven't even gotten a speeding ticket/accident. I just wanted to point out not everyone young abuses their car just because we were fortunate. Just like how not all older drivers don't ever get on their car once in awhile in what average commuters would deem unsafe even reckless.

Your car is nice and you have some nice mods on it. But as far as I know from everyones experiances people usually dont get much more for modded evos. Im sure someone will be willing to spend 22k on your car because there are people who are into buying modded cars already but a lot of people like me would feel safer buying a unmodified used car. Have you thought about parting out the mods? Good luck with your sale. Im sure it will sell at 22k it just depends how patient you want to be.

I almost bought Steves car. I definately wouldnt regret it if I had. I had a window that I needed to work through and two great cars to choose from. Unfortunately at the time he had another interestee that wanted to keep the Navi unit that I didnt want. I wish he would part a little of it out lol! Its a tough time to sell right now. Hang in there dood.

Its all about finding the deals... I picked mine up for $16,000 w/ only 36k miles. All stock except for slotted rotors, drop-in filter, and a vishnu reflash.
Only bads were a few minor scratches here n there and the drivers seat inside side bolster is kind of wobbly. Other than that great car, and the guy who owned it worked at a chevron oil stop so he changed the oil every 3k, and had records of tranny and diff. fluids changed at 15k and 30k.
Don't hate on the ones that found a deal.... its not like i got it incredibly cheap, just a bit below blue book.

I had seen a kid selling a 03 Evo with 36,000 or so miles with a built buschur motor and upgraded tranny. He did blow up the stock motor due to an aggressive tune. He decided that he wanted a 335i really bad, so he put it up for sale for $18,500 or so.

If you see a good deal, don't shy away from it... just do some research. IE- car fax, compression check, etc.

It's worth what you are willing to pay for it.

I paid low price to the seller but had to replace t-case and rebuild tranny. So as far as paying not much to the seller you will pay later for repairs.
