Question A bunch of water dripping from under glove box.

I'm guessing its from the A/C but I still haven't been able to pnpoint it. Just wondering if this is a common thing. Has this happened to anyone else? It's an 05 evo 8.

your A/C drain is probably clogged..if you can get under the car and find the drain hose shoot some air into it and see if a bunch of water comes out then that would be your problem. Being a former Honda tech that was common on hondas.

same thing happened to my IX. took it back to the dealership & got it fixed. it hasn't happened since. my guess is it's the a/c cause thats the only time i noticed it was dripping.

Was it actually leaking into the car you mean? Or under the car, where the glovebox was?

It happened to my old OZ 3 different times. Here is how I fixed it on the third and final time. I got some rubber tubing that was slightly larger than the drain and attached it to the drain. The other end of the tubing was duct taped to a shop vac. I turned the A/C on full blast and turned the vac on and watched all the crap go through the tubing. I left the shop vac on until I saw no more dirt in the tubing.

LOL my wife had a 2002 Lancer ES and the thing FILLED the freaking passenger side floor with like 3" of water! Turns out there were a bunch of leaves stuck in teh A/C drain, right above the rear motor mount on the firewall. Some compressed air in there and then get the heck out of the way!!!

Werd. I'm currently a Honda tech. Once May-June rolls around, there are MANY complaints of wet carpets.
