If you want the V8 toarks, go with a GTO, it is simply a much more competent car. The mustang has less than .9g's on the skidpad and a SOLID REAR AXLE. Guys we're not in the 60s anymore.
LOL I couldn't have said it better myself. I would definitely rock a GTO if RWD is your style. Stangs are alright. I think there technology is definitely out dated.

I've driven a few fantastic cars in the last year... Lotus Exige, Porsche 997 GT3, 360 Challenge Stradale (just this past weekend in fact), Mini Cooper S, STI's, Evo's of all power levels (well, not insane one's like Buschur's drag car, but..) and I just bought an Evo for myself about 3 weeks ago. I have driven an older Mustang, and no thanks.... I don't mind muscle, but wow, just very un-refined and the handling is nowhere near where the Evo is. In my opinion regarding the Evo, there's not another car on the planet that offers this level of power, fun, and practicality, especially for this price range. That is why we do so much work with them. They're absolutely incredible.

I'll talk with you this week.

Caleb

Jam packed with fanboys? Mustangs in almost any trim are terrible.

Until the go thru a make over from a Specialty Shop like Roush, Saleen and Shelby.

I ripped up GTs in my GTI, Unless you attach some crazy badging to the back like Shelby GT 500, the mustang is slow.

I live out here in Kansas were 40% of all automobiles are Mustangs and maybe 1% of those are even slightly fast.

Ever been to a Mustang forum? It's an all out blood lust for imports, mainly Evos and STIs.

Yet you contribute to it with your foolish ***** comment above? Forget not that the next supra(yes kids I said supra, get your tissues out) will be a large displacement v8 or even v10 motor. I've heard similar comments from people talking about those who modify their car, more often than not it's just people spewing hatred, ignorance and foolishness.

It's not really an issue of who started it. It just happens. Some people are having fun, and some people take it to the extreme. My point was simply that Mustang forums are no different, and some of them also get pretty crazy with their boasts and insults. Once it reaches that point, it’s merely just a lack of respect and maturity.

The Supra like the Corvette will/has a large displacement yes. what i think is ignorance is the same displacement in a vehical where the chassis goes one direction and the body goes a different. in a nut shell picking hp over every other car quality

Different strokes for different folks bud. Not everyone likes the same kind of 'vehical' that you do nor buys them for the same reasons.

Yes Thank you I should have said IMO. I realize not everyone wants the same thing as I. For those of us who prefer a stright line over a curved one body roll isnt an issue and hp is. go with the Mustang!
