Roush vs. Evo 8
cmon guys mustangs are not that bad. the 03 cobras are amazing and they have a pretty good suspension. Plus some people would rather have straight line performance than handling performance and muscle cars win this category.
Do a little reading. I am not going to incriminate anyone. I regularly read other car forums, as do a lot of others here. It’s interesting to see what people are trying and what kind of power different engines can achieve. But every clan unfortunately has crap talkers, whether on the web or out in public. I’m not saying “can’t we all just get along?” but it would be nice to just hang out without being forced into a domestic vs import battle.
If you can, give them both a test drive and see which one you think will make you happier/more satisfied with in the long run.
The Roush is a nice car, but I'd take the
EVO over the Ford any day of the week.

its simple
just test drove both of them
you will definitely know which feel better
or suit you better
or you feel better when driving
take that one
and you will smile leaving the dealership^_^

Are the Super charged? The one I saw had a scoop that said cobra Jet on it....
And what is with these mustangs and their NON-functioning hood scoops? Even the Roush has one....

Brian H, I am surprised by your comments. Don't you have a C6? You don't see people saying Vettes suck, because they are amazing machines. Mustaings, in comparison, are very weak. They can make power - any car can, but they are GENERALLY lacking compared to their competitors. If you take the cost of your C6 and look for a similarly-priced current Mustang (Roush-based or whatever), you're going to be way better in almost every category.
Here's a good story from the drag strip 2 weeks ago. I was running 11.6s consistently, and at the end of the day, a man came by with his son. He asked me what was done to the car, and I mentioned the standards - bolt-ons, cams, e-85 and big boost on the stock turbo/motor. He look puzzled and asked me to confirm what I had just said. He then said, "Well, my good buddy has a GT500 and is lucky to run low 14s or high 13s." I said, "Ah, well, it's very heavy, and it's normally-aspirated, so it loses more power at this altitude. Plus, my Evo is pretty well put together and driven hard." His next reply was, "Yeah, but my friend paid $70k for his." All I could do was blush and say, "Well, it looks really nice!" It doesn't get any better than that. I really like the souped up Mustangs, so I was even trying to compliment it, but this guy said everything I was thinking as an objective observer.

As far as different strokes for different folks comment it's an apples to bowlingballs comparison with the evo and any mustang. Much like comparing modified to stock vehicles. A nimble rough riding car with rally roots is going to handle much differently than something that's pretty much a cruiser, that's no surprise. Much like a F350 isn't going to be the best autocross vehicle. My point was that not everyone's looking for the same thing in a car.
Which of my comments exactly are you talking about? The fanboy comment, that's hard to argue. Look at any thread comparing an Evo against any other vehicle and you'll see it. . . hell look at the VIII/IX to X comparison threads.

Welp I will test them no doubt, Like everyone else I wanted to get some facts lined up. I know nothing about mustangs and thought I would at least get something solid to go on........I have seen some badass mustangs, and I have seen some badass evos.......Im leaning towards an evo from CBRD, but again I am not ready to buy yet, just getting all my little chickens in a row first..........

If i would chose a mustang, the only one out there is 03,04 Cobra thats it! GTO is nice too!! my opinion? stick with AWD
you can have fun in any kind of weather condition.
