2step for evo 8 or 9 is the same exact thing... and its weird that he could have a 2step without having the clutch pressed all the way in ''I NEVER HEARD OF THAT BEFORE''.... and if you have 2step while the car is moving you would never be able to get even close to redline lol....

"2 step" is weak anyhow. Anti-lag is where it's at. If your going to do drag racing BS and **** **** up, at least do it right.

Rev limiter: ~7600
Two step: ~7900

As was stated in previous posts.

PS, I effing hate the two step, as if the Evo really needs any help off the line... Now 16 year old kids can just floor it and drop the clutch all the time without even having to think of over-revving...

And then immediatly jump on EvoM and ask if the "blah blah blah stage eleventeen 6 puck clutch" is the best to buy for their broke garb.

I think you guys are thinking of the rev limiter not a 2 step.

eh the "two step" they are talking about is a rev limiter. Theres the normal rev limiter which is like around 8k or something, and the stationary rev limit which is what most people are talking about when they say "two step" which is a rev limiter that is in effect when you are stationary, and is set lower in the 05+ models but set higher than the normal rev limiter in the 03 and 04 models.

factory two-steps from '05 on were set at ~5000rpms. Typically you see the best results on a mildly modded evo in the 5500-6500rpm range.
