Do evo 8 have 2 step
2step for evo 8 or 9 is the same exact thing... and its weird that he could have a 2step without having the clutch pressed all the way in ''I NEVER HEARD OF THAT BEFORE''.... and if you have 2step while the car is moving you would never be able to get even close to redline lol....
well i thought it was wierd as well. but apparently it's normal. he has an 03 and his ecu reads to be an 04 which i also found to be normal.
the 2step is not activated while the car is moving!!! while the car is stationary (hence stationary rev limit) it activates the 2 step. now i found it wierd that the clutch wasnt pressed in while we were testing it but it work fine and the car would be able to launch. once moving the car was able to reach redline which we had set to 7500 at the time.

they are clearly marked in the ecu
stationary rev limit
rev limit.

For those who can't understand something without seeing a picture:

The 2-step is labeled as "stationary rev limit and the normal rev limit is labeled as "rev limit." 03'-04's have the 2 step set above the rev limit, thereby preventing he 2 step from being used. Anyone with a tactrix cable and ecuflash can change this value to something less than the rev limit to enable the 2 step.
