1. Anyone have any idea what the "F" and "Q" mean in FQ300?

2. Anyone notice how the dash has blue trim on the UK and JDM Evos? Ours is grey. Why the difference?

 

FQ300 is a europe tuner version fo the EVO. Not only does the JDM cars have blue dash inserts but the door skins have matching blue inserts. Got them on order !!

 

1. FQ means F**king Quick, and I'm not kidding about this.

2. UK and JDM have better interior than us IMO. Notice the difference in the dash, (some models even come with navigation system on the dash), the gauge cluster, the shifter and the carbon fiber Evolution badge near the shift boot. The US Evo just use similar interior as the regular Lancer, to save on cost I guess

F**king quick is right. Mitsui UK utilise a few HKS stuff like exhaust to get 300hp from the car. The US Evo actually has the same interior as the JDM Evo RS spec which is the lightweight no frills version. The UK model is the JDM GSR model which is the top of the range which comes with all what u guys mentioned as well as climate control.

Does anyone have a pic of the interior that could be put up here....I've seen it but maybe others haven't

Also I would LOVE to get my hands on the upper pannel, where our clocks are, where the Nav Screen goes in the JDM and the UK spec model. Does ANYONE have a line on this??? PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!

If your talking about the dash trim pieces?? It is already in the works. Both C/F trim, blue and body colored trim pieces. Also bringing in the center console with the "evolution" badge on it. Blue door skin inserts have to be ordered with the door skin which causes the price to become excessive but I'm still going to do it for our owm car anyway. The RS interior doesn't have the A/C vent control relocation option just like us and a Different steering wheel and Recaro's are optional

Look on the bright side. At least now you can spend extra and "JDM" your car out, which, up until now was mostly just a Honda craze.

Anybody with an early build 2003 Eclipse with the midnight interior has this interior treatment: blue cowels on the dash, blue door armrests, blue leather inserts in the seats, blue center console armrest/lid - and most of our customers thought it was absolutely hideous. Now, midnight Eclipses come only with the door armrests in blue and blue inserts in the seats (leather cars only), everything else in black and it is a lot better looking IMO, as well as to potential buyers.

If that is what you want then go for it, I like the car the way it is.
