Trading in IX for X? Nope
GSR X for my low mileage IX MR straight up... I said no
I do not like the looks of the X, and I like how the IX feels more raw.
When I do get rid of it, I am pretty sure I am gonna get something RWD with a cage an no plates that fits a spec class

I actually felt the same way when I went to TD an X when I still had my IX, it felt like it had it's ***** removed. Although it did handle awesome, the X felt really slow and I immediately lost interest in trading in. Ah well.
I don't like the X body style. Its too..... fat.... ???
Everything seems more bulky and huge. And it doesn't even come with a momo steering wheel? What happened to the nice black interior, I mean, the X is nice, don't get me wrong, but its too.... plasticky on the inside. Reminds me of domestic cars too much. Cheap interior. Don't get me wrong the IX is made of plastic on the inside too, but at least it doesn't look cheap.
Well, let me put it this way. In my opinion, the IX is like a lithe, quick but well cut marathon runner, and the X is more like a chubby, big but strong shotput thrower.
In the end, both of them have only about a 5 hp/tq difference, so its *almost* the same. Sure you can count in SAWC and all that new stuff, but then again, that new technology won't replace skills and expirience. Plus, I like how the IX looks. X looks too Audi-esque and Boxy-ish. (Its *** is also HUGE!)
Just my $0.02 cents.
And I've been approached by the dealerships too. They wanted to give me 20K for my IX. I laugh and tell them to not call me again.

There's no way I would trade my VIII for an X - ever.
However, if I could get an Evo X GSR with the brakes and suspension of an MR, with the steering feel of my VIII, and the ability to turn S-AWC completely off, then I might think about getting one.
