When I tried to adjust the pass side it didn't want to move. I think my damn adjustment knob is broken inside the housing. I need to save up for JDM headlights.
Or just read the post above yours.

Okay I just did the blackout headlight how to on my hid headlights. I got everything back on the car and pulled it out on the driveway, put the key in the on position so I could turn the hid on and with the car off I hear the passenger side motor still running for about 30 seconds. It finally stopped. I turned the car off and then back on and it did the same thing for about 30 seconds, stopped for 10 or so than started buzzing again for another 10-15 seconds before it stop again. I didn't mess with the insider level adjuster. I also used the heat gun method to take the headlights apart. I'm not sure if it did this before. This is just the passenger side also. Any ideas?

Eh, my driver's side one hunts for a bit every once in a while. I read somewhere that it's normal? At least nobody's had issues resulting from it? I dunno. Not worried.

I noticed this problem recently when I was waiting at a stoplight. Both sides are affected, and they move together. My HIDs are normally set to 0, but sometimes I switch to 1 if there's additional weight in the rear of the car, or if there is the potential of blinding oncoming drivers on hills.
I tested the level dial settings with the car facing my garage door. The problem is worst on setting 1. I can see and hear the motor changing the level up and down. The movement is much less and intermittent on 0, but it's still there. The issue disappears on the other settings.
This weird behavior definitely didn't exist when the car was new. This makes me think that the problem is directly caused by electrical contact wear in the adjustment switch.

Has anyone solved this problem by replacing the switch, instead of unplugging the motor and relying on manual adjustment only?
