Had mine for about a year and recently removed it to repaint.To answer your question yes I had paint damage. The paint was stripped by the weather stripping like someone else mentioned above.I guess it just depends on where you get your VG from.The double sided tape however didnt do any damage.Just used goo gone and elbow grease for about an hour.Would I get one again? Yes they look awesome.
