I just got a evo IX and i read the owners maual and it states that car has an imobilizer then i read in couple places on this mesage board that only evoVIII came with immoblizer. Another issue i got that i bought the car used from used car dealer and the car has exaust and boost contrloer i dont know if its flashed or not, any way to find out? Will the flash override the immobilizer? I would like to know before somone is trying to take mine car.

 

I am pretty sure it does , but it sucks.

There's a couple people on the forums that got their evo jacked, so yea. I forgot which thread, but if you search for it, you'll find it.

and in reality if they want to jack your car, they will, if you dont have any security measures.

I've been reading the fuel cutoff works well, ravelco, gps snitch, etc...
