Exclamation My Evo got jacked!

I was up from Sunday night to Monday morning at 2am doin homework. My office is in the back of my condo and I can look out and see my parking spot where my evo rests. I heard a bangin sound about 2am. I opened my back door and looked out to see nothing. Car looked fine. 10 minutes later I heard the same sound followed by my AMS Stroker engaging and coming to life with the roar of my full Buschur Turboback Exhaust. I ran out the back and saw my Evo taking off!

I grabbed my phone and hit 911 in hopes it could be caught. It was too late. My evo and all the work, $$$, and time I put into it... gone.

3-4 weeks before my insurance gives me a settlement. My car may

show up
it may not
it may but partially stripped
fully stripped

who knows. Just a waiting game at this point. I was up all night confused and in shock. Still cannot believe it.

thats horrible!!!!
Do insurance companies cover any of the money for parts/labor you have put into it if you can provide receipts? I assume they wont... unless maybe you own the property you live at and have home owners insurance maybe would they cover it? That really sucks man!!! Hope u get it back unharmed!!!!

Lo-Jack would have been ideal. My cousin has it in his Integra lol and they found his when it was stolen after 5 hours. Next time get a lo-jack and an alarm. They would have found the car within hours or at the most days.

Wow man I am really sorry to hear that! My Evo just got broken into on Wednesday with the window smashed out..that was all I cared about was that my car was still there. Hopefully you will get paid for all your aftermarket stuff, if you send the insurance company the receipts they should cover it. They did for my friend totalled STi. Well looks like it's time for a IX MR eh?!? Hope everything works out friend.

I have low jack, an alarm, and some other "secret" anti start deals.... You drive a 30k sports car, with ...10 or 15k in upgrades??? the first upgrade should have been an alarm. Live and learn.

That's horrible. I REALLY hope you have all your aftermarket parts listed out on your insurance policy. If not, then this REALLY, REALLY is a bad day for you.

Tough love. True though, after getting my car broken into and hearing about Evos getting jacked often. My income taxes are going to be well spent on a Compustar this year

To be determined. I am sending all my receipts and such. They will do some research and come up with a figure. Home Owners Insurance.... Never thought of that. So if I am not satisfied with the figure HWI may be an option? I do own my place and have HWI. Hmm...

I have talked to other people and they say my stuff will be covered.

I feel for you man. Owning a nice car like that you always worry about it getting jacked. One of the many reasons I sold my Evo. Now I sleep better at night.

I always upgrade when opportunity knocks. We will see what happens.
