Well... it looks like my alarm that I got for christmas is going in ASAP... Chicago to me, at least for the 2.5 years I've lived here, is the worst place ever for the high-end cars that get ripped off.
Hell it's getting so bad now here, that people will try to break into your car just for a d*mn radar detector.

As much as I hate to say it, he's probably better off if the DON'T find the car. Or, if they do find it, they rule it a total loss. I can't imagine how badly that car will be beaten to death, torn apart, etc. I would never want it back. But, that could just be me. Not trying to be disrespectful because what happened is a horrible situation, but I think you will know where I'm coming from.

I thought the car won't start with out the key sending a signal to the engine?
My guess would be they were stepping on the clutch to by-pass it, then cut the ignition wires.. then found a "hot" wire and fired it up that way.. at least I think thats how it's done in the movies.. but then again.. it's the movies..

So true. I have had both of my cars broken into in Chicago just so they could steal my Valentine One radar.

Huh?

Stepping on the clutch to bypass the immobilizer on the ignition?
