sorry man that really sux. id start shooting at them on the way out. my question is dont all evo's have the chipped KEY? mine has a relay under the hood for immobilizer so it only takes the two keys that came with the car.

 

im sure no matter how well a car is alarmed if some one wants it bad enough they will get it.....

and I think I would rather my car just go away and collect insurance then deal with someone messing everything up to steal something inside...

I know this is an old sore thread but I’m very intreguiged..How did they drive off with it? If they had a truck it would make more sense. Sounds like your car was highly modified. Would the car run with stock software? I don't think they were carrying an ECM with them. Is the immobilizer system that basic? I’m guessing that, it’s that basic. Or there was some inside to this. Like your tuner removed the immobilizer? And then came to your house and stole your car.

As for the OP, I'm glad to see things worked out for you. I am about to have a CompuStar Pro Series Alarm installed in my car and I'm going to get that GPS Snitch & hard wire it to. Not only do I not want my car stolen, but where I'm from there are a LOT of people who get jealous of seeing you in your $35k car and won't think twice to fnck it up the first chance they get, just to make you have to deal with the head ache.

I'm not letting anyone touch my car, if they do they run the risk of dealing with me and my Sig Saurer P229 .40.

That sucks. I got a car stolen before and they found it two days before the 30 day window where the insurance woruld have paid out. I noticed the other year the evo was #2 on the most stolen car list behind the escalade.
